Imperial – POSE A THREAT EP
LIMITED 12″ VINYL PRESSING OF 250 RECORDS.
Imperial, known to the Old School as DJ Coolie Bee, started Asphalt Records in 1993. He decided to release records because he felt Hip Hop was loosing it’s edge. The support the label and it’s artists received was true but not enough to keep the records pressing. So when the label closed in 1996 it would take 14 years before opening for business again. Spawned by the internet and demand for “Golden Age” beats, Asphalt Records began putting out vinyl records once again. In celebration Imperial released his first ever solo record “Pose A Threat”, a warning to other labels that Hip Hop with Breaks will never die.
